      Drawing from the article of young scientist of our University made the cover of the prestigious scientific journal

On the cover of the latest issue (August, 2017) prestigious international science journal "Crystal Research and Technology" is a picture from the article of young scientist of our University, head of the chair of General and inorganic chemistry Bolat Uralbekov with the sponsors «Growth of the complex borates Y_xR_ySc₂+ z (BO₃)₄ (R= Nd, Pr, x+ y+ z= 2) with huntite structure».

The journal that published the study is in the second quartile of journals in chemistry and materials science (data of SCIMago Journal Rank). Work which was done in collaboration with Russian and French scientists devoted to the synthesis of complex borates with previously unknown structure which is having prospects for application in optical devices for devices laser technology.

Choice named work from more than a dozen articles for placement on the cover of a magazine (cover picture) evidence of significant contribution to the chemistry and technology of crystals made by the researchers of our university in collaboration with foreign colleagues.

It should be noted that during the course of the past two years the chair’s members have been published about a dozen articles in the field of materials science, in particular, the growth of inorganic crystals, in international refereed journals.
