Putin proposed to create a Russian-Kazakh research centers

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to create a joint Russian-Kazakh research centers on the basis of regional institutions of higher education, as he stated at the 14th forum of interregional cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan.

"On the basis of regional Universities should establish joint research centers, such as the international research laboratory of applied biotechnology, which employs the staff and students of Belgorod research University and al-Farabi Kazakh national University", — said the President.

Putin also cited the example of joint development of the Ural Federal University and partners new technologies to reduce energy intensity of production. According to the President, its wide introduction will allow to save energy.

Putin said that Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed to expand ties between regional Universities. He added that education is an important sphere of human capital development.
