Efforts to strengthen measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection in educational organizations during the pandemic are showing results in order to ensure the safety of the lives and health of students and pupils, teachers, and other employees of educational organizations.
Impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the higher education system varies from region to region. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues its active activity in the field of academic mobility. 1-st year master's student Marina Obukhova and 2-year master's student Lebskaya Daria (Volgograd State University, Russia) successfully attended the 1st semester of 2020-2021 academic year of "6В02303 – Foreign Philology (Western languages)" educational program at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages.
Despite the time difference between Kazakhstan and Russia, postgraduates fully participated in all online classes. At the end of the semester, they successfully passed the exams, thanked the university, the lecturers of the department and received a document confirming the completion of the semester.
Daria Lebskaya: "Thank you so much for the transcript! I would also like to express my gratitude for your support and help in solving problems. I was very interested in studying at your university. All the teachers are excellent, they teach in an interesting manner. Thanks!:)» |

Warsaw is a city used to the abundance of foreigners, so it wasn't too hard for me to adapt. Besides, the Polish language is somewhat similar to Russian. I really appreciate the quality of education, kind and attentive attitude towards the students, prices in the city and all the people I've met there.

My experience in the Erasmus+ program
They do say, thoughts are material. At the end of each year, I make plans and goals for the next year. I had already been to America before and my next goal was Europe. I soon found out that I was applying for an exchange program and got the opportunity to study at one of the leading universities in Italy – Ca'Foscari, founded in 1868 in the heart of Venice. As soon as I arrived in Venice, I had the impression that I was in a different world: roads and cars were replaced by canals and boats, houses and buildings became palaces and palazzi, and wide streets narrowed and became streets. But despite all these changes, you quickly get used to the city. About the city, with its unique architecture and unique atmosphere, you can write endlessly, but I will separately focus on the university itself. Ca 'Foscari is an advanced education center that serves students from all over the world. Despite the highest requirements for training, the university organization pays special attention to the socio-cultural development of its students. The university offers special programs for international students, organizes tours to the nearest cities like Padua, Verona, Treviso, and so on, and every weekend hosts various themed evenings to get to know the history and culture of Italians. The organizers also support the native cultural values of students. For example, in the early days, when studies had not yet begun, the University administration arranged a Welcome Day for foreign students and asked them to choose their favorite domestic songs. As for the most important thing, the level of education, it meets all international standards. This is evidenced by the world rankings, according to which Ca'Foscari is in the list of the best universities in the world. The education system is different from ours, but it is very convenient. You choose the subjects you want to study and the teacher. I would also like to mention the university library, which has more than a million books on its bookshelves. Finally, I would like to thank my university for this opportunity. During six months of studying in Venice, I got a huge experience and impressions for a lifetime.
