How to apply?

Just 5 STEPS to enter our university!

1.Registration: You can choose both online and offline registration format for bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs. Registration is available all year round.
2.Filling out the form in your personal account or submitting the necessary documents

STEP 1.

Online Registration

 

Documents are accepted through:
1) university online platform
Register on the portal https://univer.kaznu.kz/abiturient_user/register/11 and get access to the online application form in the “Online Registration” section of your personal account and attach the necessary documents.
2) Personally to the admissions committee of the university (branch) of KazNU;

These contacts are indicated only for submission on a paid basis. Educational grants are issued by the Ministry of Education.
Acceptance of documents for study for foreign applicants is carried out from May 15 to July 30 (autumn admission), from October 16 to December 5 (spring admission) of the calendar year. Documents of applicants submitted later than the deadlines established by the Admission Rules are not allowed to participate in the competitive selection.
Farabi Business School invites students to programs in the areas of MBA, EMBA and DBA! Acceptance of documents until May  31 of the current year. 

STEP 2.

Filling out a form in your personal account or submitting the necessary documents

Fill out the form on the university website and attach the necessary documents:
1. Copy of passport
2. Copy of diploma (with apostille)
3. Diploma transcript
4. Choose a specialty
5. A copy of the IELTS or TOEFL certificate, if available (for master’s and PhD doctoral studies)
6. Fill out the form (download it first and fill it out according to the sample), then attach this form during online registration.

2) document on education:
A) for undergraduate studies - the original and notarized translation of the certificate (certificate of secondary education and evaluation sheet) into Kazakh or Russian - 2 copies;
B) for master’s programs – the original and a notarized translation (certificate of higher education and assessment sheet) into Kazakh or Russian, bachelor’s degree diploma – 2 copies.
C) for doctoral studies - the original and notarized translation of the document conferring a master's degree into Kazakh or Russian and a bachelor's degree diploma - 2 copies.
3. Notarized translation of the passport and certificate/diploma + transcript into Kazakh or Russian (in 2 copies). Diplomas must have an apostille.
(Important: all documents must be translated and notarized in Kazakhstan!)
(For CHINA citizens it is mandatory to undergo the apostille process in their country)
 4) Two color photographs measuring 3x4 centimeters, taken within the last 6 months.
5). An international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language in accordance with the common European competencies (standards) for proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
6). List of scientific and scientific-methodological works (if available)

STEP 3.

Pass testing/interview

 

1.Next, a university representative will contact you and set a test date/interview
1) For the undergraduate level, you must pass a language proficiency test and a core subject test.
2) For the master's and doctoral level it is necessary to pass an interview.

STEP 4.

Conclude an Agreement with the University
and Make 100% payment of the tuition fee

 

 

 

 1. Conclude an Agreement with the University. The Agreement is concluded for the entire period of study2. Make 100% payment of the tuition fee for 1 year of study.
You can pay on the territory of Kazakhstan in tenge currency through Kazakhstani banks or in dollars through the SWIFT international payment system using the details specified in the contract.
After receiving the payment, an order will be issued for your admission to the university.

STEP 5.

Applying for a study visa and submitting documents after arrival

After the admission order is issued, you must submit the following documents to receive an invitation on a study visa for up to one year:
1) Order number for admission to the university
2) A copy of a passport valid for at least two years;
3) A copy of the Agreement on the provision of educational services to foreign citizens;
4) Pay the state duty (0.5 MCI) in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 25, 2017 “On taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget”;
5) Fill out a visa application form of the established form.

6) A study visa is issued at least 14 working days after submitting documents. It will be sent to the email address you provided.
6) After receiving the invitation, you need to contact the Kazakhstan consulate in your country
After arrival, within 2 (two) days from the date of entry -You must go to the University, to the Office of Internationalization and Recruitment at the address Almaty, Al-Farabi Avenue, 71/21, COS “Keremet”, ground floor, 1- 2 office for registration of arrival and provide the following documents to the visa department of the university for registration: copy of passport, copy of visa, copy of border crossing stamp.
Documents to be submitted to the Internationalization and Recruiting Office upon arrival:
1.Originals of education documents
2. medical certificate form No. 075/U (upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is necessary to attach a fluorographic image, a certificate of absence of HIV infection, and also have a copy of your vaccination card with you);
3. Individual identification number (Can be obtained at the Public Service Center in Almaty.)
3. Submit documents to undergo the nostrification procedure for original school certificates.
4. A certificate from the Public Service Center stating that the documents have been submitted for nostrification.

Note: completed documents, translations and notarized documents must be in 2 copies.


Foreign citizens are admitted to the Al-Farabi KazNU based on the results of international entrance examinations of foreign countries.

Persons who have certificates of international standardized tests SAT (ESI – SAT), ACT (ESITI), IB (AIB) are enrolled in universities for a paid department, in accordance with the scale of points transfer. The transfer of SAT scores to the UNT is carried out subject to the availability of certificates SAT reasoning (WEBSITE reasoning) and SAT subject (SAT subject). At the same time, the results of the SAT subject (the sabject WEBSITE) are translated into UNT points, provided that the profile subjects coincide.

 

Note to applicants for admission to the Faculty of Medicine

For citizens of the Republic of India To enter the university, you must provide a NEET certificate (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The minimum threshold score for admission to the ICC for the General Category (GC) candidates is 134 points, and for SC / ST / OBC categories - 107 points.

 Education is provided in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. If the applicant does not know one of the languages, then automatically is enrolled in the preparatory faculty

* Application conditions *

1. Applicants must complete the online form on time, and through their account number obtain the applicant's number on the website from the link http://foreign.kaznu.kz/en, while:

Ø Applicants themselves are responsible for the results of incorrectly entered information in the online application.Also, passport data must be entered into the form without changes and abbreviations.
Ø The e-mail address must belong to the applicant himself, each applicant can use only one e-mail. Correspondence for other applicants via this mail is not allowed.
Ø The above e-mail address is used as the user name for subsequent logins to the account.
Ø A photo of the applicant must be uploaded to the appropriate cell in the application form. This photo will be used in the entrance document for the exam and the certificate of the exam results, so the photo must be taken full-face, and not earlier than six months.
Ø The applicant who has filled out and registered the form is sent the applicant's number by e-mail.

2. The applicant can obtain his number only once. The applicant's number will be used both in the exam and in all other electronic procedures of the applicant with KazNU. al-Farabi, so it must be carefully preserved. After the issue of the Applicant's Number, it is necessary to indicate it in all correspondences with al-Farabi University. Applications without the Applicant's Number are not taken into account.
