Student of KazNU won the silver medal of the Universiade-2017

Student of Al-Farabi KazNU Dmitry Balandin became the silver medalist of the Summer Universiade-2017, which took place in Taipei (Taiwan).

The decisive factor was the last 50 meters, where D. Balandin managed to snatch the silver medal from the two Russians, who lost to him just a few hundredths. Finishing time of the Kazakh made 2 minutes 9 seconds and 70 hundredths.

For D. Balandin it is the second medal at the Universiade. Earlier the swimmer took the third place on a distance of 100 meters breaststroke.
