Dear colleagues!

Department of a worldhistory, historiography and source study of faculty of history, archeology and ethnology of the Kazakh national university named after al-Farabi and RGU "Central state archive of filmphotographs documentary and sound recordings RK" invites you to take part in work of the International scientific and practical conference "Audiovisual Documents in System of Historical Knowledge", devoted to 80-year anniversary of the Kazakh national university named after al-Farabi and 70-year anniversary of archive that will take place on November 15, 2013 to Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Purposes:

- the analysis of a place of audiovisual documents in system historical knowledge and their studying with source study positions;

- to consider actual problems of national history and RK archiving;

- to open studying of a world history, a historiography, a source study and special historical disciplines in a context of historical knowledge

Main directions of conference:

1. Audiovisual documents: history and present

2. Problems of national history and archiving

3. Problems of a worldhistory, historiography, source study and special historical disciplines.

Official languages of conference: Kazakh, Russian, English.

In work of conference participation of leading scientists of Kazakhstan, CIS countries and foreign countries is supposed.
