MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

The goal of the educational program is to train highly qualified and competitive public health specialists who are able to:
- to formulate and solve modern scientific and practical problems, successfully carry out professional activities;
- to ensure rational management of the economy and the activities of health organizations, taking into account the specifics of health care;
- organize and conduct research to continue research in doctoral studies;
- use knowledge in the field of university pedagogy and psychology and teaching experience in high school.

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that undergraduates will be able to:
1. Q1 Assess the current state of public health and health care, its problems and development prospects;
2. B2 To evaluate quantitatively and qualitatively the state of health of the population, its determinants, as well as to formulate a plan for effective actions to promote health.
3. Q3 Critically assess data regarding the effectiveness of health interventions, programs, and services.
4. B4 Promote public health by influencing the socioeconomic, physical and cultural environment through health promotion methods, including health education.
5. С1Collect, generate, synthesize, evaluate, analyze, interpret data that measure health status, risks, needs of certain groups of the population.
6. C2 Systematize the main problems and discussions about the methods and strategies of conducting scientific research and the laws governing the development of science.
7. C3 Demonstrate originality and creativity in the implementation of public health activities;
8. C4 Integrate knowledge and cope with complex issues and formulate judgments based on incomplete or limited information.

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form among master students the ability to use modern epidemiological and statistical concepts in a specific but simple empirical setting, to make forecasts of the development of the health status of the population as a whole and its population groups taking into account social and economic conditions. The discipline studies the basic definitions of statistical theory, methods, algorithms and tools of statistical analysis. When studying the course, epidemiological and statistical documentation (analyzes, tables, figures, etc.) on the relationship between the socio-economic environment and the health of the population as a whole and population groups will be considered.

Environmental epidemiology
