MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that rgraduates will be able to:

ON1 To critically assess the problems, approaches and trends reflecting the current state of the international legal framework governing the relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan with other states and international organizations to use these findings in the work of the relevant government bodies representing the country's foreign policy interests in the international arena
ON2 Qualified to apply international agreements and normative legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the activities of state, law enforcement agencies, international organizations and private sector enterprises; implement the rules of substantive and procedural law in specific areas of professional activity.
ON3 Conduct legal expertise of draft regulatory legal acts and international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to determine their compliance with the principles of international law, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, give qualified legal opinions and. consultations in relevant areas of professional and scientific activities.
ON4 Use a foreign language at a high professional level to analyze, summarize and systematize legal and scientific information; as a means of conducting diplomatic negotiations; to represent and defend the interests of the country in international judicial, arbitration and other bodies.
ON5Critically think and apply key worldview concepts; evaluate life and professional situations from the point of view of philosophy and management psychology.
ON6 Organize an effective workflow for research and professional legal functions; form comfortable relationships with partners, management, subordinates and other people; act in unusual situations, calculating the risks and using the emerging opportunities for your company
ON7 Analyze and evaluate the complex external political processes taking place in the international arena from the point of view of the possibility of resolving these problems through international law to ensure peace and security, respect for human rights and freedoms.
ON8 Formulate problems and research objectives; determine the stage of master's research, carry out normative and bibliographic search for scientific material in accordance with the chosen methodology and the use of information computer technologies.
ON9 Designing for educational and research purposes in the form of preparation of a scientific article, abstract, conference report, scientific analytical report on topical issues of international law.
ON10 Argumentally present the results and conclusions of scientific research, lead a scientific discussion in the process of presenting scientific work or protection, including in a foreign language.
ON11 Use traditional and innovative technologies of teaching international legal disciplines, independently develop plans and methods for conducting various types of studies in the international legal direction, including educational work.

  • Description - The main purpose of the discipline is to form the ability to analyze and evaluate the processes of international legal regulation of relations with Islamic states; analyze the contractual practice of the Republic of Kazakhstan with Islamic states. During the study of course, master degree students should be competent in: 1. Demonstrate knowledge on the history and theory of Islamic law, the international legal aspects of the Islamic concept of world order; 2. To conduct a comparative analysis of the norms of public international law with Islamic law; 3. To critically and systemically compare the national norms of Islamic states with the norms of public international law; 4. To determine the role of Islam and Muslim states in modern international relations. 5. To analyze the legal aspects of the Islamic model of the world economic order. During the study of the discipline master degree students will learn following aspects: discipline examines the following issues: determining the place of Muslim law in the modern world law and order, especially of Islam as a religious and legal system; legal aspects of international relations of Islamic states, humanitarian aspects of the Islamic world order; concept of islamic economic order.

During the study of course, master degree students should be competent in: 1. to describe new methods of research, to compare their applicability to the methodology of international legal analysis; 2. independently formulate goals, set specific tasks of scientific research in the fundamental and applied areas of international law and solve them with the help of modern research methods; 3. collect, process and interpret, using modern information technologies, the data necessary to form judgments on relevant scientific and international legal problems; 4. to form effective and non-standard solutions to research and practical problems; 5. recognize and distinguish new research methods, evaluate the feasibility of their application. During the study of the discipline master degree students will learn following aspects: The course examines the economic integration of states under the influence of objective processes occurring in the world community. The concept of integration as a legal phenomenon is analyzed, supranational legal regimes in different integration associations are compared, the stages of the integration process are considered depending on the specific economic maturity of the integration processes between the participating countries.
