XV Republican debate tournament for the Cup of “Nur Otan”

The opening ceremony of the XV Republican debate tournament for the Cup of “Nur Otan” was held al-Farabi KazNU.

It was organized by the Youth wing "Zhas Otan" under the party "Nur Otan". The main resolutions of the tournament were – the transition of Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet, the modernization of public consciousness, digital of Kazakhstan and development of volunteer activities.

The tournament is traditional and every year brings together the best debaters from all over the country in two leagues: Kazakh and Russian.

It should be noted that the first tournament in 2003 was won by South-Kazakhstan region, followed by Astana (3 times), Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Almaty, Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay region.

XV Republican debate tournament for the Cup of the party "Nur Otan" in 2016, took place in Astana, where winners were students of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi, therefore, brought the right to host the next tournament in Almaty.
