On December 4, 2013 Center for Research on Contemporary China of the al -Farabi Kazakh National University held The republican scientific-practical round table with discussion on "The Role of Xinjiang in the Kazakh- Chinese relations ."

This round table organized by director of " Center for Research on Contemporary China " , Doctor of History , Professor Nabizhan Mukamethanuly .

At the round table discussed the role of the modern Xinjiang in geopolitics and geo-economics of China and its role in the Kazakh- Chinese relations . Moreover they discussed important issues such as experience and China's policy on the development of Xinjiang , socio -economic development and socio- political problems in Xinjiang , the development of foreign trade and cultural ties between Xinjiang and other countries.

In the round table took participation Researcher KISR Izimov R. , Ph.D. , Associate Professor Zhumataev G. K.Kozhahmetov , R.Elemesov , G. Movkebaeva K. Abdyhalykov , D. Zheken and so on.

Materials of the round table will be published in a collection by sponsorship funds of the Center .
