MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to:
1. to present the mechanisms and factors of development of modern regions from the standpoint of theoretical and methodological approaches and research methodology in the framework of modern paradigms;
2. interpret and evaluate regional aspects of modern international relations and problems of the regions, trends in the development of global and regional processes through the prism of the theories of international relations;
3. analyze the main content of international, integrative, innovation processes in Central Asia based on primary sources;
4. discover and analyze new strategic trends of world powers, identify the main causes and trends of changes in the strategic importance of world powers
5. to expand the methodology of research problems of regional studies and the analysis of international and regional problems on the basis of scientific approaches to critical analysis;
6. to reason and adjust strategic state (republican and regional, city) plans for the development of relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the leading regions of the world;
7. to conduct expert and analytical work, to possess the skills of applied analysis, to predict the development of regional and international political processes of our time in the context of independent research using at least 2 foreign languages;
8. effectively present and analyze the activities of regional organizations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the post-Soviet space.
9. reasonably state their own scientific point of view, conduct a scientific discussion on how to solve international and regional problems in academic and analytical conditions using materials in foreign languages;
10. analyze the mechanism for formulating state policies and strategies, demonstrate the contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening the system of regional security and establishing multilateral cooperation.
11. demonstrate the skills of public speaking, effective communication and leadership in the composition of professional teams to solve international and regional development tasks with the use of foreign languages to solve professional issues.
12. demonstrate the results of their own scientific, educational and professional activities and determine the trajectory of further professional and scientific self-improvement

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form an idea of regions as integral communities possessing a sociocultural code at the macro-regional, national and sub-regional levels. The training course forms an understanding of the modern problems of the global integrated regional studies within the framework of modern paradigms. The discipline is aimed at studying the research methodology, methods and scientific approaches within the framework of modern paradigms, analyzing the geocultural characteristics of regions and at covering logic in the formation of a sociocultural portrait of a region.
