About the program
Training of a competitive, qualified cardiologist with professional knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine, the use of modern medical technologies, capable of organizing effective preventive measures and providing high-level care to patients with a cardiological profile, generating new knowledge in the field of health care to ensure continuous medical care for patients and the population as a whole.
Graduate model
Upon completion of this program, it is expected that residents will be able to
1. Conduct comprehensive examinations using modern medical technologies, considering standards and evidence-based practices to determine treatment and rehabilitation plans and a personalized approach to solving cardiac patient problems.
2. Provide specialized medical care for children and adults with cardiac pathology based on evidence-based practice, critical thinking of new information, and care standards, assessing the effectiveness and safety of treatment and prevention measures.
3. Provide timely and effective specialized medical care for urgent and life-threatening conditions in cardiology practice, including during epidemics, pandemics, emergencies, and natural and man-made disasters.
4. Effectively use communication skills to establish positive and trusting relationships with patients, children, and their families (or legal representatives) during the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, including emergencies, performing diagnostic procedures and initiating appropriate interventions.
5. Use communication skills to effectively organize the work of interdisciplinary/professional specialist teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes, respecting colleagues' opinions and supporting
effective time management skills.
6. Apply legal knowledge in the field of health protection, protection of the rights of doctors and patients, and follow the regulatory legal acts that determine the activities of the infection service.
7. Use modern information-digital technologies and health information systems to solve professional tasks, including conducting scientific research to improve effectiveness, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of medical care.
8. Organize and conduct primary and secondary prevention activities for cardiovascular diseases based on the principles and methods of promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and adults, supporting population health.
9. Demonstrate and embody ethical standards, moral principles in all professional interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and society as a whole, and responsible behavior expected from doctors.
10. Apply epidemiological approaches to determine the social determinants of health and ensure equity in medical care for all social groups.
11. Work effectively within the healthcare system, and improve these systems, paying attention to the quality, safety, and value of patient care.
12. Analyze and critically evaluate professional literature, formulate research questions, effectively use international databases in daily activities, and participate in scientific research aimed at advancing knowledge in human health and improving the quality of life
