About the program
Training of a competitive, qualified pulmonologist with professional knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine, the use of modern medical technologies, capable of organizing effective preventive measures and providing assistance to patients with a pulmonological profile at a high level, generating new knowledge in the field of health care to ensure continuous medical care for patients and the population as a whole.

Upon completion of this program, it is expected that residents will be able to
1.Provide specialized medical care for respiratory diseases in children and adults based on evidence-based practice, critical analysis of new information and standards of care, and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of treatment and prevention methods.
2.Conduct comprehensive examinations using modern medical technologies in accordance with standards and evidence-based practice to determine the treatment and rehabilitation plan and personalize the approach to solving the patient's pulmonological problems.
3.Timely and effectively provide specialized medical care for emergency and life-threatening conditions in pulmonology practice, as well as during epidemics, pandemics, natural and man-made disasters, and emergencies.
4.Effectively use communication skills to establish positive and trusting relationships with patients, children, and their families (or legal representatives) during the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, including emergencies, performing diagnostic procedures, and initiating appropriate interventions.
5.Use communication skills to effectively organize the work of an interdisciplinary/interprofessional team of specialists to achieve the best result for the patient, respecting the opinions of colleagues, and supporting time management skills.
6.Apply legal knowledge in the field of health protection, protection of the rights of doctors and patients, and be guided by regulatory legal acts that determine the activities of the infectious service.
7.Use modern information and digital technologies and health information systems to maintain medical documentation, solve professional tasks, including conducting scientific research to improve efficiency, ensure safety, and improve the quality of medical care.
8.Organize and conduct primary and secondary prevention measures for respiratory diseases based on the principles and methods of promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and adults, and maintaining population health.
9.Demonstrate and embody ethical standards and moral principles in all professional interactions with patients, families, colleagues, and society as a whole, and responsible behavior expected of doctors.
10.Effectively work within the healthcare system and improve these systems by focusing on the quality, safety, and value of care, ensuring equality for all social groups of patients.
11.Analyze and critically evaluate professional literature, formulate research questions, and effectively use international databases in daily activities.
12.Participate in scientific research aimed at advancing knowledge in the field of human health and improving quality of life.
