26 september at faculty of Oriental studies was held an essay competition named “How powerful is your pen, young talent?” organized by the Sinology department during the University’s “Language Festival” from September 22nd to 28th due to the Language Day holiday in Kazakhstan

The students’ essays contest in Korean language
The students essays contest in Korean language, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea and the 75th anniversary of Koreans living in Kazakhstan, took place at the Department of Korean and Japan Studies. Organized by the above mentioned Department and the International Center for Korean Studies of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in conjunction with The Korean Cultural Relation Association (South Korea).
