In this regard, on October 14, 2023, an online meeting was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic “Acquaintance with the Kazakh national cultural heritage and cultures of the countries of foreign university students.” The event was attended by teachers and students of the Far East Department.

On October 11, 2023, within the framework of the project “Sustainable Development Goals”, the item “Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions”, senior lecturer of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, PhD Doctor Tyulegenov Kairat Muratkalievich gave an interview to the information agency “Inbusiness.kz”, in which he expressed his expert opinion on the situation in the Middle East, in particular, the Palestinian-Israeli issue.

On October 5, 2023, at 16:00, a magnificent festive evening dedicated to “Teacher’s Day” was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The initiators and organizers of this wonderful event were the talented students of the Turksoy department.

On September 29, 2023, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, in the Department of Far East, under the leadership of Professor Lee Byong Jo and the advisors of the department (Shatekova G., Sermukhametova B., Sailaukenova A., Begaliyeva M.), the national holiday of the Korean people “Chuseok” was celebrated under the heading “Partnerships for Sustainable Development” SDGs.

There is one nice tradition that has existed for a while among Japanese Studies students in the Far East Department – at the start of the academic year, senior students host an evening of greetings for newly enrolled students. It is an excellent tradition that helps promote the establishment of friendly relations and respect between students.
