On January 29, 2024, the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a forum “Quality Assurance in the Field of Higher Education: Status and Development Prospects.” 

The seminar was attended by the teaching staff of the Department of Chinese Philology of the IAAC of  Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Mordovia  State University named after N.P. Ogaryev, Xinjiang University, Beijing University of Foreign Languages, Kazakh Ablai Khan university of International relations and world languages and the professors, teachers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of our university

On January 25th, 2024, the teacher of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Kerimbayev Yerzhan Abdirayimuly held a meeting with the staff and students of general education school No. 2, located in Zhetisu district of Almaty. 

On January 26, 2024, at the Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a ceremony was held to award an international scholarship from the company “HOWON Ceramic & Granite” (Seoul, Korea). 

Mr. Mehraban Poladi, who attended a conference on the topic "Cultural-historical heritage of zoroastrianism in the context of the evolution of the peoples of the eurasian continent"

On January 24, 2024, an Open Day was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. To attract as many students from all over the country as possible, this event was held on the Zoom platform, which was attended by about 150 students from more than a dozen schools in Kazakhstan.

The issue of holding the first “International Hindi Conference” in Kazakhstan was discussed in the Branch of Indian Studies at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi March 14-15.

  The meeting discussed issues of joint cooperation in the training of highly qualified specialists who are competitive in the modern labor market.

January 18, 2024 at the Department of English Philology of the Mordovian State Research University named after N.P. Ogarev, an international round table was held on the topic “Trends and prospects for the study of Chinese as a foreign language in Russia and Kazakhstan”
