Ninomiya Takashi is a visiting foreign professor at Al-Farabi KazNU from the University of Tsukuba, a well-known higher educational institution in Japan.

December 4-10, 2022 Ph.D Saparbayeva N.B. of the Department of Chinese Studies and a 2nd year master's student Su Jiaying completed advanced training courses at the Mordovia State University named after N.P. Ogorev under the program "Actual Issues of Linguodidactics in the Digital Age" (Russia, Saransk). The program analyzed topical issues of linguistics and linguodidactics in the modern era of digitalization.


On November 22, 2022, a presentation was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, during which graduates of the Japanese branch of the Department of the Far East shared their experience of studying abroad.
On November 23, 2022, an event on the theme “K-CULTURE DAY” was held at the Department of the Far East (Korean Studies), focused on 1-2 courses. The event was prepared by students and advisors of 1-2 courses, and was held under the guidance of professor Lee Byong Jo.


Recently, the leading lecturer of the Japanese Department of the Department of the Far East, Samal Borankulova, took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakh-Japanese Center for Human Resource Development (KJC), which opened in 2002 on the basis of Narkhoz University as a unique project of the Japanese government agency JICA, and received a letter of thanks.
