In the first days of the new calendar year, as a rule, the foundations and plans for the future are laid. This morning the whole country had the opportunity to get acquainted with the main ideas of the Head of State and his views on the future of the country. For us, as representatives of the young leadership of one of the leading universities in Kazakhstan, such events are significant. You especially understand this through the prism of your specific activity.

On December 24th, the rector of KazNU Zhanseyit Kanseyituly signed an agreement with Lanzhou University ,Vice President Gou Xiaohua and director of the Beijing Cooperation and Language Training Center under the PRC Ministry of Education to implement the dual degree education program.

On December 25, 2023, the head of the Department of Chinese Studies Farid Orazakynkyzi held a scientific seminar on the topic "The current situation and prospects for cooperation of higher education between Kazakhstan and China."

Within the framework of the Bolashak program, by the decision of the Republican commission on personnel training abroad, Ph.D., head of the Department of Chinese Studies, associate professor Orazakynkyzy Farida, and Ph.D., associate professor of the Middle East and South Asia department, Saltanat Toleukvny, became grant holders.

During the meeting, issues of exchange of experience in the field of education with Kazakhstan teachers, strengthening of cooperation between the two universities, increasing the chain of international contacts between the two universities were discussed. 

The online course "The Great Silk Road and Kazakhstan: History, Culture and Interconnection" organized by the Department of Chinese Studies as part of the Winter School has come to an end.

On December 19, 2023, a scientific seminar was held on the topic “Problems of studying the medicine of nomadic peoples”, organized jointly by the research center of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University “Written monuments and spiritual heritage” and the Scientific Committee of the RMC “Gylym Ordasy” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

During the meeting, the state of modern Chinese literature was discussed in detail.
