The summit was attended by the rector of the University of Gilan, Dr. Ahmad Razi, and the rector of the Alame Tabatabai University, Dr. Hossein Salimi. At the end of the summit, distinguished guests visited the Faculty of Oriental Studies, which trains Iranian Studies specialists. 

On September 23, 2019, the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University at the Mahatma Gandhi Center, a meeting was held with the Hindi language teacher, Professor of the University of Delhi, Mr. D.A. P. Sharma. Professor D.A.P.Sharma is a special guest of honor at the QS World Wide International Forum, Sun General Assembly. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Y.M. Paltөre, students and teachers of the Indology Department. D.A.P.Sharma hearing that in KazNU im.Al-Farabi is studying Hindi language with a deep history, eagerly wanted to see everything with his own eyes. In addition, Professor D.A.Sharma also affected the knowledge and qualifications of faculty members. D.A.P.Sharma as a teacher, personally met with students from the Indian department and wished him success in learning Hindi in the new year. He also shared his impressions in the pedagogical life and gave students a great charge of vivacity. In turn, students read verses in Hindi, performed a wonderful song, received a guest applause. Also, the dean of the faculty, Y.M. Paltоre, thanked Mr. D.A.P.Sharma, noting the importance of such meetings, both in the educational and cultural sphere, and political. He expressed confidence that friendly relations between Kazakhstan and India, which have lasted for many years, will continue strictly. Students of the meeting also noted that such meetings provide a lot of motivation in learning a new language.

The Faculty of Oriental Studies in the framework of the "Festival of Languages" organized a musical and literary evening in honor of the celebration of the "175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev"

At the faculty of Oriental studies 16.09.2019 was held a training seminar on the topic "Definition of goals and objectives of teaching Syllabus." The seminar was conducted by the head of methodical work of our university Zhakupova Gulnaziya.

All teachers and professors of our faculty fully participated in the seminar. At the seminar, teachers were trained by methodologists and improved their skills. In addition, discussions were held on the basis of comprehensive discussions on the difficulties faced with the creation of syllabuses and teaching complexes in the disciplines in the new academic year.

September 19, 2019, the signing ceremony of “Campus-in Campus” (CiC) contract between KazNU and Tsukuba University was held.

At the Division of Korean Studies of the Department of the Far East, events were held dedicated to the Chuseok holiday and "Meeting between Sonbe and Hube".

On September 2 of this year, the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Paltore Yktiyar Moldatoreuly, met with the first-year students in the 2nd training hall. The meeting was attended by the heads of departments, faculty, curators-advisers of the faculty. In his opening speech, the dean of the faculty Yktiyar Paltore congratulated students and teachers on the new academic year and introduced to first-year students the heads of departments, advisors, foreign professors and the commandant of student hostel No. 14.

Akhapov Erlan, a teacher of the division of Japan Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the al-Farabi KazNU, completed a three-week training course on 21st century skills at the Institute of Japanese Language Urawa of the Japan Foundation.

On August 29, the final day of the advanced training course for Persian language teachers in Kazakhstan was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The course lasted from August 20 to 29.
