On August 20, 2019, the Iranian Studies Department of the Department of Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Saadi Foundation (IRI), with the support of the Cultural Representation of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan), began a continuing education course for teachers of  Persian language and literature. 

June 16-22, Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Aldabek N. A. participated in the conference, which was held at the Korean Academy of Sciences (South Korea). 

At the Faculty of Oriental Studies, a lecture was given by N. Mukamethanuly, Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies, Doctor of History, Director of the Center for Contemporary China Studies on the topic “Relations between Central Asia and China”. 

On the last Saturday of May in the al-Farabi KazNU was a traditional Alumni Day. On this day contemporaries of different generations first met at the Triumphal Arch students and graduates of “Mangilik el”, erected on September 1, 2016.

An international scientific-practical conference "The concept and practice of the projects" One Belt - One Way "and" Nurly Zhol "was held on May 3-4, 2019. 

May 3, 2019 in the framework of the international scientific-practical conference "Concept and practice of projects "One Belt - One Way" and "Nurly Zhol" a round table on the topic "One Belt - One Way: Present and the future” with the participation of a foreign guest - Professor of Aydin University (Turkey, Istanbul) Ragip Kutay Karaj. 

On the 2^nd of May, a training led by Oikawa Koji was held at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Department of the Far East, the Japanese Studies Department.
