Within the framework of the Japanese Studies week, a meeting was held with Professor Inoue Ken and undergraduate Yoshida Shogo from Kouchi University (Tokyo, Japan). The main event of the meeting was the lecture of the undergraduate Yoshida Shogo on the topic “Medicine and Health in Japan”.

February 22-23, 2019 in Kazakh AblayKhan University of IR and WL was held the Republican subject Olympiad among students of the specialty "5B021000 - foreign philology". The subject of Olympiad consisted of two stages, written and oral. The purpose of the event is to assess the competitiveness of language and skills.

On February 23, 2019, the closing ceremony of the republican seminar “Modern methods of teaching the Arabic language” was held at the Islamic University Nur-Mubarak. The seminar was planned to be held from February 16 to February 23, 2019 in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the Islamic-Egyptian University Nur-Mubarak and the Egyptian Cultural Center.

February 22-23, 2019, at the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages ​​named after Ablaykhan, the regular annual Republican Olympiad among students in the specialties 5B020700-Translation Studies and 5B021000-Foreign Philology was held. 

On February 20, the annual karaoke contest in Japanese was held at the Japan Human Resource Development Center. Students studying Japanese, as well as just lovers of singing Japanese songs attended this competition.

The first-year students of the Japanese Studies Department,of the Far East Department, under the guidance of the curator-adviser, took part in a curatorial hour devoted to the discussion of the article by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”.

The Iranian Studies of the Middle East and South Asia Department at the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a meeting with the General Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Bahodur Nazir on the theme “The unity of the People is the most valuable asset”. 

The Chinese New Year Chunjie was organized and conducted by the Department of Chinese Studies. 

In period from 30.08.2018 to 21.12.2018, I have been studying in Bunkyo Gakuin University in Tokyo, Japan, being first student from al-Farabi Kazakh National University to participate in Multi-Lateral Program.
