Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Oriental studies department of TURKSOY will hold a science seminar on the topic "The basic dynamics of Turkish foreign policy" with the participation of Professor Hussein Bagzhi of the Central-Eastern Technical University of the Republic of Turkey.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Oriental studies TURKSOY department in the framework of the article prepared by N.A.Nazarbayev “Towards the Future: The Spiritual Revival”, turkologist-researcher Amankos Mektep holds a scientific seminar on the topic “Secrets of the Runic Writing”. The seminar is dedicated to the ancient Turkic-Kazakh spirit and civilization. The basics of Turkic studies, runic teachings, facts about the connection with national traditions, legends, and the origin of the word will be discussed at a scientific and practical seminar.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Far East’s Japanese language teacher Samal Borankulova and Professor of the University of Tsukuba Ninomiya Takashi conducted a course of vocational guidance in Aktau schools within the framework of the Japan International Development Foundation “Sakura Network”.

The annual “Day of Japanese Culture” was held at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty 3 November. The Embassy of Japan held the event in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan - Japanese Human Resource Development Center, Narhoz University, the Association of Japanese Businessmen in Kazakhstan, the Japanese Association in Kazakhstan, the organization of Terracaya and the Kazakhstan-Japan Silk Road Association.

The National Library of Kazakhstan invited the famous Sinologist Murat Avezov to conduct a conference on the theme of "China in my life".

October 27. 2018 Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Indology participated in the first Pakistani winter exhibition organized by the Pakistan Business Forum in Kazakhstan. Representatives of the National Bank of Pakistan in Almaty Chairman of the Bank Rafik Muhammad, Hussein Arif, Deputy Chairman of the Bank - Artykbekov Talgat Kalmuhametovich, Representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kazakhstan Basit Salim Shah visited the exhibition and participated in the opening ceremony.

On October 24, 2018, at 4 pm, the Consular hour took place with the participation of the Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty Ryza Kagan Yilmaz on the theme: “Humanitarian and Entrepreneurial Foreign Policy of Turkey”. Consular hour was held at the Faculty of International Relations in the 3rd (third) lecture hall. Over 60 students and faculty members took part in it. In his report, the Consul gave detailed information about the humanitarian assistance of Turkey in the Middle East, as well as investments in the states of Central Asia.

On October 25, 2018 a presentation of a new program for the simplification of Latin graphics was held at the Turksoy department. The meeting was opened by the famous Kazakhstani academician, mathematician Mukhtarbai Utelbayev. The head of the department, associate professor Torali Kydyr was a moderator of the meeting. Scientists and IT specialists from several universities of the city shared their views.

One Asia Foundation supports financially scholars and universities that participate to come together toward Asian Community which pursue prosperity, stability, and co-existence among Asian countries, and is considered as a process to contribute to a peaceful global community. Now over 300 universities of the world including Al Farabi KazNU and JNU are attending at this project.

On October 20, 2018, an evening of culture of Turkic peoples was held in the framework of the III International Festival of Documentary Films of the Turkic world, organized by the staff of the Turksoy Department at the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi.
