A student of the Chinese studies department received an educational grant from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty.

Akhmetova Anel, a 4th year student of specialty “Oriental Studies” of the Chinese studies Department, became the main prize winner of the 2nd World Cognitive Intelligence Contest “New Silk Road through the Heart of the People” among university students from Almaty. On the 1st round, she received the highest score among more than 80 students from Almaty universities in matters of history, culture, traditions, philosophy, and geography about China. In round 2, she won the main prize among 10 students in a competition for the level of Chinese language and oratory. According to the jury, Anel's language proficiency is very high, and she knows Chinese culture well. She received an educational grant from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty.
