Online meeting with Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University, Institute of languages and culture Of North East people of Russian Federation

On December 11, 2020, a regular online meeting of the al-Farabi Kazakh national University and the M. K. Ammosov NEFU was held. The event was organized by the Department of TURKSOY of the faculty of Oriental studies on the basis of the project "Ainalandy nurlandyr" in order to develop cooperation in the educational, scientific and cultural space. Along with the teaching staff, headed by G. Toralieva the meeting was attended by graduate and undergraduate students.

During the meeting, the guests were introduced presentations on educational, methodological, scientific and international activities of the University, faculty and Department, and also shared the good news that al-Farabi Kazakh National University currently ranks 165th place in the QS rating.

Since the meeting was dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the guests were introduced to the traditions, national games and art of the Kazakh people, as well as watched an online video video prepared by students. The honored singer of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Zhanpeisov sang the song "Zhetysu", who took part in the event as a guest.

The singer of the national ensemble "Kyl Sakha", ethnomusicant Ruslan Gabyshev, who took part from the Sakha side, sang a national song congratulating on the Independence Day of Kazakhstan.

The meeting between the fraternal Turkic countries gave the participants a positive spirit.
