Another victory of the Department of Chinese Studies at the international level

From November 30, 2020 to January 20, 2021 in Beijing city (China), a competition was held to dub Chinese films and television works among foreigners. The competition is organized by the Chinese Center for Foreign Languages in cooperation with the Central Radio and Television, the “Chinese Bridge” Club and the Chinese Language Alliance. Teachers and students, studying Chinese from all over the world took an active part in the three-month competition and submitted their duplicate works.

In total, more than 500 participants took part in the competition, of which about 200 universities from 80 countries presented about 700 works. According to the selection results, the Department Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was awarded the nomination "Best Organization". 2 teachers and 21 students of the Department of Chinese Studies were awarded the title of "Best dubbing actor". In addition, 3 leading teachers of the department, in particular, Farida Orazakynkyzy, Duissenbay Kulpynay and Maulit Bakhytnur were awarded the "Best Leader" award.
