From 2 to 16 November 2015 in the sports halls of the University were held the competition in five sports in the program of the Cup of Rector among freshmen. Students freshmen showed their sport opportunities in badminton and table tennis, chess, mini-football and streetball. The competition was attended by 388 people.

SPRING FESTIVAL: "CHILDREN'S DAY"
May 29, 2015 in the chess club, the sports complex of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi held the traditional XV Olympiad chess among children of the faculty and staff dedicated to International Children's Day. This Olympiad is organized by trade union "Parasat" (Chairman - Mekebaev TK) and the Department of Physical Education and Sport (Head - Areshenko AI). The competition was attended by boys and girls in three age groups: up to 10 years to 12 years to 14 years, in the amount of 20 people.

1st place - Kaliahmet Eldana (Faculty of Oriental Studies).
2nd place - Bekbosyn Diaz (VSHEB).
3rd place - Sagatay Julbaryskhan (School of Economics).
AGE GROUP UP TO 12 YEARS
1st place - Ybraykozha Nurdaulet (Faculty of Philology, Literary Studies and World Languages).
2nd place - Sergent Madiyar (Faculty of Journalism).
3rd place - Maksutkyzy Nazim (Department of History, Archaeology and Ethnology).
Age group up to 14 years
1st place - Nurgazy Tomiris (Faculty of Journalism).
2nd place - Kerimbai Edige (Faculty of Oriental Studies).
3rd place - Bekbosyn Dulat (VSHEB).
The winners were awarded with diplomas, chess literature and sweets. Competitors received diplomas and sweet prizes. The award carried a union "Parasat" University employees.

Eldos Zhumakanov and Marian Urdabayeva - bronze medalists of Asian Judo Championship
On the first day of the competition, six Kazakhstani judoists fought for the bronze medal.
Students of KazNU Eldos Zhumakanov and Marian Urdabaeva - both from the Faculty of Law,
brought to Kazakhstan two bronze medals on the first day of the Asian Championship in Kuwait.
