Former US Ambassador, Professor of the School of International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania Dennis Jett delivered a leadership lecture at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic: "Peacekeeping and the Evolution of Conflict".

As part of the Science Week, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific conference "Ruler of Muslim Egypt: Sultan Baybars From Kipchak Clan and His Time". The event was timed to the 800^th anniversary of the birth of Baybars Sultan, the famous son of the Dasht-i Kipchak steppe, who founded the Mamluk state in Egypt.

Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have developed a technology for producing dietary bakery products enriched with spirulina. The project’s authors presented their innovation to the public at an exhibition of Young Scientists held within the framework of Science Week.
