3/24/2018 Meeting at the medical faculty

The Department of Biomedical Statistics and Evidence-Based Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi (http://www.kaznu.kz/en/17421/nodeblock), organized a meeting with the Dean, College of Asia Pacific Studies of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Beppu, Japan) - Todoroki Hiroshi and Professor of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University - Serik Meirmanov.


3/23/2018 Scientific-research internship at the Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center

February 12-22, 2018, Al-Farabi Eurasian Research Center hosted 16 students of Masters Degree from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University related to different faculties: Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Journalism Department. Center organized 10 day course which includes both theoretical and practice sessions and sightseeing tours to enrich knowledge of students about Turkish culture and traditions and increase cultural understanding between Kazakh and Turkish people.


3/20/2018 The story of one success

Today, the fourth-year student of the specialty "Oriental Studies" of the branch of Korean Studies of al-Farabi KazNU Aidana Samuratova became a member of the team "Shinhan Way". She has been working for eight months at JSC Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan as an assistant manager. This opportunity was provided as one of the best students, who was selected as a bank employee on the job.

3/15/2018 Closing ceremony of the "Arabic Language Week"

On March 9, 2018, the final meeting of the "Arabic Language Week" was held. Director of the Egyptian Cultural Center Dr. PhD Hamdan Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Dr. PhD Ykhtiyar Paltore, lecturers of the Arabic language, headed by the Head of the Middle East and South Asia Department, Dr. Rashid Mukhitdinov, as well as students and undergraduates of the Arab department participated in the event.


3/15/2018 The Mongolian Empire and the history of Central Asia

On March 13, 2018, a round table was held on the theme "The Mongolian Empire and the history of Central Asia" organized by the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology and the Department of History of Kazakhstan with Timothy Michael May, who is a professor at the University of Northern Georgia, Dean of the College of Arts and Literature, Ph.D. Professor Timothy May is a specialist in the history of the Mongolian Empire and the history of the nomadic empire.
