The International Children's and Youth touristic expedition "My city - Almaty" started in the mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau. The aim of the event is to revive youth tourism movement, extend knowledge on culture, history and nature of native land, develop search skills and abilities, promote tourism as effective means of formation of patriotism, healthy lifestyle, environmental education of the participants, as well as intensify tourism and local history activities, upgrade participants’ touristic qualification, formulate the image of Almaty city as a major touristic center.

Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Lahore (UOL)

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting with the representatives of University of Lahore (UOL).First vice-rector Muhambetkali Burkitbayev noted the readiness of KazNU in the development of bilateral relations with Pakistani university and outlined prospects for joint work and the range of priorities.

KazNU’ admission committee opened its doors to students of the 2016-2017 academic year

On June 20, 2016 al-Farabi Kazakh National University opened the doors of the admissions committee. For 30 minutes before the start the graduates school and colleges have filled the universities’ doorstep, got acquainted and shared opinions about a choice of future profession.

Volunteers of the Busan medical corps of health visited Kazakhstan during June 4^th to June 6^th of 2016 in assistance with department of Korean studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and medical university.

Department of the Far East of the Faculty of Oriental Studies held a fruitful meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff , the Korean Foundation, the Overseas Koreans Foundation of Republic of Korea and professorial and teaching staff of the department of Korean studies department of the Far East.

In the framework of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-British program “Newton - Al-Farabi” Center for professional development and collaboration in Almaty, based at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Technopark of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a workshop “Publications of research results”. The one-day training workshop was held in Technopark of Al-Farabi KazNU on the 3rd of June 2016.

The delegation of the National Cadet Corps of India visited the Military department. This visit was made possible thanks to the signed Memorandum of cooperation. The visit included official meetings, trainings, educational and cultural activities.
