"Green bridge across generations" moves forward
On 11-12 April 2016 at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi will be held the V International Student Forum "Green Bridge across generations" dedicated to initiatives of the President of Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev "Global Energy Strategy for Sustainable Development in the XXI Century" and the "Green Bridge".

A conference "Farabi alemi" was held in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi
11 – 12 of April 2016 the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi held an international scientific conference of students and young scientists of "Farabi alemi". The Faculty of Oriental Studies took an active part in the conference. Students and young scientists presented their research papers in the field of Oriental Studies.

“Promoting Transport and Transit Connectivity in Central Asia and Beyond”
An international conference on “Promoting Transport and Transit Connectivity in Central Asia and Beyond” is taking place today in Almaty at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference was co-organized by the al-Farabi University’s Department of International Relations, Michigan State University and the Institute for Global Engagement, in partnership with the Almaty office of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Campus project in campus: a year later
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Oriental Studies Department of the Far East closely cooperates with some universities of Japan. One of them is the University of Tsukuba. It is not an exaggeration to say that the relationship with the University of Tsukuba established in 2009, has intensified even more in this academic year.

Аl-Farabi library is glad to report you that access to the largest Electronic and Library IPR books system is open! Now each student and the teacher of our university has had an opportunity to work for free with the Russian license full text base of electronic editions — ELS IPR books which is the country's first certified electronic and library system recommended for use in educational activity of educational institutions.

On the 1st-2nd April, 2016 year there was a seminar training organized for teachers of schools, psychologists, deputy directors of educational work, subject teachers on the base of IIQaAE, KazNU concerning the system of higher and secondary education in the form of a seminar on the topic " The use of art therapy in preparation for UNT ".

Very important guests from UN have visited Al-Farabi University
At the al-Farabi Kazakh National University there was a meeting of students and university professors with honorable guests, the United Nations' representatives. A head of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia Petko Draganov in the form of entertaining dialogue with the audience spoke about the current security threats and the role of preventive diplomacy in overcoming them. Also interesting lecture shared Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan Norimasa Shimomura.
