The scientific and practical conference "Development of University Science as a Necessary Condition for the Innovative Development of Kazakhstan" continued within the framework of the round tables "On the Way to World–Class University: the Experience of Foreign Universities" and "Networking of Young Scientists on the Innovation Ecosystem".

An exhibition of scientific and innovative achievements of Kazakhstani universities and research institutes was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. At the exhibition along with successful scientific developments of university scientists, student startups were presented.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Mohsen Fagani and Senior Expert of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Head of the working group Farabi Mujani Gumi. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of science and education.

The presentation of the book "Ethnography of the Syr-Aral" written by Professor of the Historical Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, ethnographer Tattigul Kartayeva took place. The presentation was attended by well-known historians, poets and writers, museum staff and students.

The international conference "Ecological Genetics and Public Health: Achievements and Prospects" dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of the birth of the Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher School, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Bigaliev Aitkazi Bigalievich was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference was held in a hybrid format.

Vice Dean of the School of Law of the University of Pennsylvania Stephen Barnes delivered a leadership lecture at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Guest of honor was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev. In his speech, the head of the university, introducing the lecturer, noted that KazNU interacts with US academic institutions in various fields. To date, more than ten agreements have been signed with leading universities, institutes, research centers, and non-governmental organizations in the United States.

The Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU together with the Department of Religious Affairs of Turkey (Diyanet) and the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty on January 23-25, 2023 will host an International Winter School "The Experience of Kazakhstan And Turkey in Preventing Radicalism: Theoretical Problems and Practical Solutions".

Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Head of the Department of Health Management of Akdeniz University (Turkey) Mustafa Coban and Professor Ferhat Saribek. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further building up partnership and joint implementation of large-scale projects.

Undergraduates of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University completed their studies under the program of double-degree education at Baku State University.

A meeting of the Rector's office was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. As part of the agenda, the level of preparation and further plans for the II academic semester were discussed.
