Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Director General of China National Petroleum Company in Kazakhstan Li Yonghong. At the meeting the parties discussed issues of joint implementation of large-scale projects.

2nd-year undergraduate student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Daniyar Dauletiya became the owner of the grant "Tauelsizdik Urpaktary". More than 2900 applicants had applied for the competition, 33 of them were selected.

We are very proud to announce that 4^th year student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Eldar Shekerbek took 1^st place at the World Final Championship Oceanman - 2022 in Phuket, Thailand.

On the initiative of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, about fifty representatives of the teaching staff and young scientists of the university have gone to Turkey to undergo the professional training.

A delegation chaired by the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Turkey Metin Kiratli visited the Al-Farabi KazNU. The honored guests got acquainted with the Al-Farabi library and innovative projects developed by university scientists, as well as with the plan for the construction of the 2^nd stage of the new campus. During the visit, the diplomat Metin Kiratli gave a leadership lecture to teaching and students.

Diplomas were awarded to KazNU on the master's double-degree educational program "Europe and Asia: Cultural Diplomacy and Geopolitics of the EU".

The international scientific and methodological conference "Actual Problems of Oriental Studies and Turkology" dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Islam Zhemeney was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The scientists discussed topical issues of Oriental studies and Turkology. The event was organized by the Department of Oriental Studies.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the regional forum "Tugan Jerge Tagzim", where a memorandum of cooperation between the university and the Akimat of Almaty region was signed.

The international scientific and theoretical conference "Akhmet Baitursynuly and the Language of Science" was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University as part of the "Akhmet Baitursynuly Readings".
