The Faculty of Physics and Technology is now the center of the Physics and Technology cluster.

The Faculty of Philology is one of the oldest and largest faculties of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which annually trains over 500 students who receive fundamental knowledge in the field of philology.

The mission of the Faculty is to train highly qualified specialists in humanitarian, social, pedagogical areas.

Currently, the Faculty consists of four departments: Biodiversity and BioResources, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience.

The Faculty of Information Technologies of KazNU has been working since 2018. The mission of the Faculty is to train highly qualified specialists for the dynamically developing IT sector of the national economy.

The Faculty of Oriental Studies was established in 1989. The study of Oriental languages (in particular, Arabic) at the university dates back to the 70s of the XXth century.

The admission Committee of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has started accepting applications for the award of a state educational grant in online and offline formats. Beach season

Annually in July the sport and recreation camp of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on Issyk-Kul Lake opens its doors to tourists.

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held an official meeting with the Director of the Korean Institute of Eurasian Sciences and Turkology Oh Eun Kyung. During the negotiations, the parties signed a Memorandum on bilateral cooperation and discussed joint projects that will be implemented in the future.

The world is facing a global health crisis that has affected all segments of society and changed people’s lifestyle. Previous experience shows that in all types of crises whether it’s a climate change, armed conflicts or political unrest, young people and youth organizations tend to take rapid actions and quickly respond to the existing measures. Monitoring of the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated that the same process is currently happening.
