TOPIC: "My specialty is my future!"

Today, according to the International Diabetes Federation, 463 million people worldwide suffer from diabetes. The COVID-19 epidemic has caused irreparable damage to health care due to the prevalence of diabetes (SD) and obesity. This is because the flow of infection increases in patients with this disease.

Within a month, visiting professor PhD, MD, Brimkulov Nurlan Nurgazievich, head of the Department of Family Medicine of Postgraduate Education of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. health care for students and undergraduates of KazNU named after Al-Farabi.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has been the largest center of higher education, science and innovation in Kazakhstan for 87 years since its foundation. On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazNU named after Al-Farabi occupies a leading position not only among the universities of the country, but also at the international level.

The work of the expert-analytical group, which includes professors, scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, continues to generate proposals and develop constructive proposals and recommendations to interested state structures, bodies, special services and organizations of various directions. KazNU experts have prepared analytical materials, identifying the main trigger points of the January events, and ways to solve urgent problems of society.

Seven scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University were among the winners of the competition "Best Researcher - 2021", organized for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Global Challenges of the 21st Century and the Environment" was held, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development as part of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympic Games will take place in Beijing today. Among the 34 athletes representing the country at the competitions are graduates of Al-Farabi KazNU. Zhanbota Aldabergenova, a graduate of the Faculty of Law of KazNU, will represent our country in freestyle acrobatic competitions at the Olympics.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuymebayev held a regular meeting with members of the expert-analytical group. At the meeting, experts made presentations and shared their proposals and recommendations.

Mustafa Sani Shener, President and CEO of TAV Airports Holding, delivered a leadership lecture on science, technology and business at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Young scientists and teachers of the educational institution, students took part in it.
