At the next meeting of the Academic Council, the preliminary results of the meeting of the expert-analytical group and the concept of the youth policy of the university were discussed. At the initiative of the Chairman of the Board - Rector Zhanseit Tuymebaev, an expert-analytical group was promptly created in the leading university of the country, in the first days after the January events, in order to develop comprehensive solutions and recommendations for the country's way out of the crisis.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Karin and got acquainted with the activities of the higher educational institution. The head of the university, Zhanseit Tuymebaev, dwelled on the work done last year and the progress of construction at the university.

Good and encouraging news in the higher education sector. From September 1, 2022, student scholarships will increase again. For bachelors - by 20%, for undergraduates and doctoral students - by 15%. Recall that last year scholarships have already increased by exactly the same amount (15% and 20%).

718 applicants from 76 higher educational institutions of the country participated in the competition "The Best University Teacher-2021". Applicants' indicators were assessed, such as the quality of teaching, the development of educational resources, publication activity and the presence of patents for inventions.
