In the Great Hall of the Al-Farabi Library of the Kazakh National University in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a creative photo exhibition of famous domestic photojournalists and students of the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU "Lessons of Independence: 30 Moments in 30 Years" was held.

In honor of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican scientific-practical conference "Information processes in Kazakhstan: impulse of independence" was held at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi in the framework of the II readings of Zhumabek Kenzhalin.

The team of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi KazNU took part in the II Republican Robotics Championship among universities "ETU Robocon 2021", having won the third prize.

The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosts an international conference "Independent Kazakhstan in the world space of scientific research", timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the invitation of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, KazNU was visited by the state and political figure Gulzhan Karagusova. Doctor of Economics, professor in front of the audience gave a leadership lecture on the topic "The economy of Kazakhstan over the years of independence." Gulzhan Zhanpeisovna Karagusova is a graduate of S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (KazNU named Al-Farabi). 

Today, the teaching staff of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the discussion of the principles of the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev "Seven pillars of statehood".

An international round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkmenistan was held in KazNU named after Al-Farabi with the participation of scientists.

The annual meeting of the Council of Elders was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuymebaev and members of the Council of Elders. The participants summed up the results of the outgoing year and identified priority tasks for 2022.
