Today, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the grand opening of the thematic week dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence and the 175th anniversary of the birth of Zhambyl Zhabayev.

In the Palace of Students named after U. Zholdasbekov of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, a gala concert of the Republican festival "Zhyr alyby - Zhambyl" was held.

A week dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and the 175th anniversary of the birth of the poet Zhambyl Zhabayev will be held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on November 22-28.

Ex-President of Turkey Abdullah Gul arrived at KazNU named after Al-Farabi. In the scientific library, the prominent politician met with representatives of the university faculty, scientists and students.

On November 20, the famous politician, ex-President of Turkey Abdullah Gul will meet with the faculty of the university, scientists and students at the Al-Farabi scientific library of the Kazakh National University.

The international scientific-practical conference "30 years of independence of Kazakhstan - the legal model of N. Nazarbayev as the basis of political stability and economic prosperity" was held in Al-Farabi KazNU. The goal is to discuss issues of the formation and development of state independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The XI International Birimzhanov Congress, organized by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, is being held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The large-scale event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 110th anniversary of the birth of the Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Honored Scientist of the Kazakh SSR Batyrbek Akhmetovich Birimzhanov.

A meeting with the publisher, journalist, editor-in-chief of the Kazakh version of Forbes Kazakhstan magazine Bakytzhan Bukharbay was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the “Studio of KazNU” project of the trade union of students and undergraduates “Sunkar”.

A solemn opening of a memorial plaque in honor of the outstanding scientist-archeologist, doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karl Moldakhmetovich Baipakov took place in Almaty. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Al-Farabi KazNU, paying tribute to the memory of the outstanding scientist.

At the Al-Farabi KazNU, an economist, statesman and politician Gulzhan Zhanpeisovna Karagusova delivered a leadership lecture on the topic "The economy of Kazakhstan over the years of independence". The event is timed to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence.
