Virologists are heroes of our time. The lives of many people depend on the result of their work. Every crisis gives birth to its own heroes. Now a special role is assigned to representatives of the profession, about whom you do not often hear about in calm times: virologists. 

Flies help solve environmental problems. The scientific name is Nermetia illucens, a fly larva popularly called the "black soldier". It not only turns organic waste into a natural, pure fertilizer, but is also indispensable in the creation of protein-rich compound feed. Today, in many countries of the world, the production of black worms, found in South America, is rapidly growing.

Today in the educational building of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, a new cafeteria for students has opened. The festive day began with good deeds and all visitors were treated to delicious dishes and sweets for free.

Tuimebayeva with the first vice-rector for creative searches and director of the "Mountaintop" initiative of Likhai University, professor Khanjan Mehta, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.

Today the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the Rector of the National University of Modern Languages of Pakistan, Major General Muhammad Jafar.

On November 24 last year, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed a decree "On the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression." In accordance with this Decree, members of the working groups of the republican and regional levels - professional historians and lawyers - are provided with unlimited access to previously unavailable archival documents on the history of repressions in Kazakhstan during the Soviet period.

The best students of the country were annually awarded with scholarships from the Foundation of the First President. KazNU students, who are ahead of hundreds of students, receive financial support from the fund. In one of his speeches, the President expressed confidence to activists and scientists: "If our young people strive for science and education and think about the future of the country, we will have a bright future and independence."

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, the Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge University opened an exhibition "Gold of the Great Steppe", where exhibits found by scientists from Al-Farabi KazNU were presented.
