Meeting with the Consulate General of China

At the faculty of pre-University education of KazNU named after al-Farabi was held a meeting with the Consulate General of China with the participation of students of Almaty universities.

The purpose of this event was further expansion of cooperation between al-Farabi KazNU and universities in the people's Republic of China, which includes a wide range of areas: exchange of students and teaching staff, realization of joint research projects, invitation of leading professors. Nowadays, the bulk of contingent of foreign students at KazNU accounts for China, which is more than 80%. Each year, at the faculty of pre-University education more than 100 students from China have a language training for admission to universities of Kazakhstan.

The issues of social adaptation of Chinese students in Kazakhstan the development of external academic mobility programs, and deepen inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue were also discussed at the meeting. During the meeting, held a concert, organized by Chinese students studying in the universities of Almaty.

Honorary guests of the evening were Dean of the faculty of Oriental studies of al-Farabi KazNU Paltore Ikhtiar, head of the Confucius Institute KazNU Asylbekov R. U., Deputy Consul General of China Guo Xinqiao, Consul for culture and education Van Tsinpin, Consul for security Affairs Lu Yonggang, Vice-Consul Huang Jian, as well as invited guests from different universities of Almaty and teachers and students of the faculty of pre-University education.
