The meeting of the First Vice-Rector Muhambetkali Burkitbaev with delegation of Japanese company Chiyoda Technol Corporation was held at Al-Farabi KazNU.
Greeting the guests, First Vice-Rector Mukhambetkali Burkitbayev noted the dynamic development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan in the field of education. «To date, KazNU has been working closely with the largest universities of Japan, including the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Waseda University, Rakuno Gakuen University, Aoyama Gakuin University and Tsukuba University. A number of scientific and educational centers were set up together with Japanese partners at the University.
The Laboratory of advanced technologies of the world famous company Konica Minolta for the production of image forming devices has been opened on the basis of KazNU. Students and teachers of KazNU have the opportunity to study advanced technologies both in practical classes in laboratory and through online courses at the Konica Minolta Academy. The Faculty of Oriental studies has the Department of Japanese Language and Literature. Annually, with participation of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, competitions of oratory in the Japanese language, olympiads, exhibitions, master classes are being held. Scientists and teachers of University have the opportunity to improve their qualifications in leading universities and scientific institutions of Japan by obtaining financial support from Organizations and Funds, grants from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency», - said First Vice-Rector.
In turn, Mimura Koichi, Deputy Director General for the Business Unit of Medical Devices, thanked for the warm welcome and spoke in detail about the Company that is carrying out activities in the field of nuclear energy, as well as the production of specialized equipment.
The parties have discussed the development of joint cooperation in the use of nuclear medicine, as well as organization of joint training programs and research, professional development and academic mobility. Following the meeting, the Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed.
