Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a briefing of the Head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in Almaty, Daniyar Taumurat, with participation of the Heads of Project Offices opened in 2018: «Sanaly Urpaq», «Almaty-Adaldyk Alani», «Protection of Business & Investment». 

In his speech, D. Taumurat explained the procedure for entering the public service, and also spoke about all the innovations that were introduced in 2018. He highlighted that «An important direction of the modern civil service system is the implementation of the principle of meritocracy, which contributes to the strengthening of the institution of the state apparatus and increases public confidence in the civil service, as a whole». Head of the Department Daniyar Taumurat highly appreciated the contribution of Al-Farabi KazNU on countering corruption, noting the transparency and quality of the provision of over 500 services by the «Keremet» Student Service Center.

Head of the «Sanaly Urpaq» project office K.A. Tokushev in his speech spoke about the progress of the project aimed at reducing the level of corruption in the field of education, the formation of anti-corruption consciousness and the anti-corruption culture of the younger generation, increasing citizens' confidence in the institutions of state power.

In his speech of the Head of the project office «Almaty - Adaldyk Alany» A.I. Bratenkov disclosed purpose, objectives and main activities of their project. In particular, it was noted that the project «Almaty – Adaldyk Alany» is a real and practical mechanism for the formation of an anti-corruption outlook, specific steps to minimize corruption risks and manifestations in public services, increase citizens' confidence in government and quasi-state structures.

During the speech, it was also noted that «in its practical work, the project office «Almaty - Adaldyk Alyany» will strive to achieve three main objectives. This is the eradication of everyday corruption, the improvement of public control over the activities of state bodies, and the formation of an anti-corruption culture of the population based on legal knowledge and beliefs.

The reports of the briefing participants also highlighted the positive aspects of the work of «Fair Shop», which operates in «Keresmet» SSC.
