Iranist Students Received Scholarships

On February 18, at the rectorate meeting of the University, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masud Sheikh Zeinuddin and the Director of the Cultural Delegation under the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan Ali Kabriai Zadeh awarded scholarships. The third course students of the paid department on speciality 5B021018 - Foreign Philology: Persian Language and 4th course students on speciality 5B020900 - Oriental Studies (Zhenis Aruzhan Zhomartovna, Peshshanbiyev Rumi Sobirdzhanovich, Smailov Adil Serikbosynuly, Bolatkyzy Fatima, Moldagaliyev Nurzat Erlanovich, Saydalieva Daniya Hotimbekovna and Shapiev Nazim Zainamuly) received a scholarship in the amount of 5300 euro or 2 million 226 thousand tenge. This scholarship was awarded to the best students of the paid department, who are studying the Persian language, in accordance with the agreement between the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Saadi Fund of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which covers half of the tuition fee.

The Saadi Fund fruitfully cooperates with the Iranian branch of the Middle East and South Asia Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for a long time. The Saadi Fund organized advanced training for teaching staff of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, as well as language courses and scientific internships for students and undergraduates. In addition, the foundation provided the Iranian branch with scientific and educational literature, and also equipped the Iranian Studies Center.
