Nurgali Takibaev noted 75-summer anniversary

Professor of the Department of theoretical and nuclear physics, faculty of physics and technology of KazNU named after al-Farabi, academician of the National Academy of Sciences, doctor of physics and mathematics Nurgali Takibayev recently celebrated his 75th anniversary. 

N.ZH. Takibayev is a member of the International Council of the Center for Fundamental Research (Miami, USA), the International Scientific Council of the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia), Full Professor of the Institute of Fundamental Physics (Molise, Italy), Professor of the Korean Institute of Advanced Knowledge , South Korea (Institute of Advanced Study, Seoul, South Korea).

N.Takibaev is graduate of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and graduate student of the Physical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR named after P.N. Lebedev (Moscow). In 1977 he defended his thesis "Research on the problem of a small number of bodies" in the specialty “Theoretical and mathematical physics”.

He organized a number of All-Union and International scientific conferences and meetings in Kazakhstan. In 2000, by his invitation, a 1999 Nobel Prize winner J. T’Hoft visited Kazakhstan. He is the representative of Kazakhstan on the Board of Trustees of the Asia-Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics.

Takibayev Nurgali continues to work in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, gives lectures on special courses for master and PhD students in English, is the head of PhD students and undergraduates. Three candidate dissertations and four PhD students were defended under his leadership. He has published over 300 scientific articles and papers, including publications in foreign top-rated scientific journals. He is the author of three textbooks, several monographs and co-author of three books on theoretical physics.

N.Zh.Takibayev is a double winner of the title "The best teacher of the university". In different years he was and now is the head and executor of scientific projects and programs carried out under the framework of the FRP MES RK.
