Partnership with Turkish Universities has been Expanded

Al-Farabi KazNU and Antalya Bilim University (Turkey) have reached a Memorandum of Cooperation, which is signed by Rectors, Academician Galym Mutanov and Professor İsmail Yüksek.

The document provides cooperation in the development of academic exchange of students and teachers, undergoing of scientific internships and implementation of research projects. The parties expressed their mutual interest in partnership in the field of tourism, hotel business, medicine, modern technologies and other areas, as well as the opening of a joint modern Dental Center at KazNU. During the meeting, it was agreed that students of KazNU studying in the areas of tourism and hotel business would be able to undergo internships in Antalya hotels, as well as at the «Rixos» world network, with which the Turkish University cooperates.

Speaking at the meeting, KazNU’s Rector Galym Mutanov highlighted that KazNU works closely with many leading Turkish universities. Currently, a large biomedical cluster is being formed at the University. He stressed that the opening of a joint dentistry center would be a practical step in the development of inter-university cooperation and it would facilitate the transfer of innovative medical technologies and the exchange of best practices.

Warmly welcoming the guests from Kazakhstan, Professor İsmail Yüksek thanked them for accepting the invitation to visit the HEI, and introduced them with the activities and achievements of the University. He has noted that Antalya Bilim University is one of the famous educational and research centers in the Mediterranean region, which offers interdisciplinary postgraduate training programs in a wide range of specialties. İsmail Yüksek expressed confidence that the joint work with a leading Kazakhstani University will have a positive effect, and the mutually beneficial cooperation of the two HEIs will contribute to the strengthening of friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
