The Presentation of TARGET project will take place at al-Farabi KazNU
12/8/2010On the 13th of December, 2010 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National university will be held the presentation of multi-country project TARGET for students, undergraduates, doctoral candidates, teachers and employees of Kazakhstan's universities in the framework of «Erasmus Mundus» program of the European Commission. Main priority of the project is to support theDevelopment of Higher Education in Central Asia and help to develop the economical situation and rise the life standard as a side effect. The project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium providing a unique opportunity to develop innovative new academic programmes and courses that will provide a common educational core while, at the same time, enabling students to choose elective modules according to their professional development needs and personal interests.
The general coordinator of the TARGET project is the Royal institute of Technologies KTH (Sweden) and it’s employees who directly supervises the project activities, will arrive to KazNU specially for the organization of this informational session. Given event marks the start of a new project of the academic mobility within the «Erasmus Mundus» program.
The Presentation is devoted to the wide auditory of interested persons and will consist of two parts: informational – giving the detailed information about the project, application guidelines, eligibility criteria and etc., and discussion, where KTH University representatives will answer various questions of the information session participants and provide practical recommendations for those who wish to take part in education project of academic mobility and study at the best European partner universities from Sweden, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
The flagman of national education - al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the coordinator of the TARGET project in Kazakhstan. The purpose of this project is the promotion and implementation of academic exchange and sharing of experiences in the sphere of higher education and offering a wide range of educational programs, covering such priority areas as architecture, urban and regional planning, business management, education, engineering, mathematics and computer science for students, professors and sciences of universities.
It is important to note that Kazakh National University participates as a partner in all projects of academic mobility of the “Erasmus Mundus” program being implemented in Kazakhstan, which are aimed at developing of international activities of scientists and students and meet the idea of the Bologna process.
The presentation allows participants to have interesting presentation and hard work; it will provide a good opportunity to join the richness of European higher education quality through participation in the most prestigious projects of academic mobility.
