WORLD OF THE GREAT WRITER

The creative evening entitled «Adebiet Alemi» dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national writer of Kazakhstan, USSR State Prize laureate Abdizhamil Nurpeisov was held at the U. Zholdasbekov Students’ Palace of Al-Farabi KazNU. Prominent writers of Kazakhstan Dulat Isabekov, Beksultan Nurzhek, Smagul Yelubay, President of the International Kazakh PEN Club, famous writer and journalist Bigeldy Gabdulin, famous public figures, scientists, students and teachers took part in the literary evening.

«This evening is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh writer Abdijamil Karimovich Nurpeisov. In fact, the classic of Kazakh literature, the laureate of the State Prize of the former Soviet Union, Abdizhamil Karimovich, is an outstanding creative person who made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh literature. Kazakh written literature is a big world with a rich history. The works by Abdijamil Nurpeisov «Blood and Sweat», «Last Duty» continued the path of such literary giants as Mukhtar Auezov, Sabit Mukanov, Gabit Musrepov, who made a significant contribution to the gold fund of literature. The trilogy «Blood and Sweat», which was published in the second half of the 20th century, was highly appreciated by thinkers of world literature. It was presented on theatrical stages, filmed and translated into many languages of the world. The writer in his works created the image of the nation through his heroes, versatile revealed the real life and its principal foundations. His works have always served as a spiritual source for formation of the nation and had a great influence on the formation of the young generation. Abdijamil Nurpeisov belongs to the galaxy of great writers who have won the love of their readers around the world», - highlighted Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Galym Mutanov, opening a solemn literary evening.

Among the speakers there was also a writer, film playwright, honored worker of Kazakhstan Smagul Elubay, who spoke not only about the works of Abdijamil Nurpeisov, but also unknown facts for the reader.

«Abike, in fact, is not only a writer; he is a «fearless lone Batyr», a fighter writer». The whole life of this person was in the struggle. In his childhood, at the beginning of the twentieth century, he saw the death of Kazakhs who were dying of hunger. He witnessed the Stalinist evil that shot young people and the virgin land development campaign, which closed 700 Kazakh schools. Thus, he went on the path of struggle. His first step was the epic «Blood and Sweat», where he described the inside feelings of his people and gave an answer to a society that humiliated and oppressed the Kazakhs. This was really a great result of his struggle. In 1986, after the December events, he also did not remain silent. This person, as a writer, acted against the Red Empire. In the same year, the All-Union Plenum of the Party was held in Moscow. Abike spoke at this meeting and before leaving he warned the Bureau not to stop him. At the same plenum, he said that «Kolbin is a temporary officer», and as evidence, he analyzed and gave a full alignment of the meaning of these words, which meant that «the soul of that man does not hurt», «after him, even the flood». After that, during the collapse of the USSR, another incident occurred. The newspaper «Izvestia» had published an article by Solzhenitsyn «How to equip Russia», where it was written that the northern regions of Kazakhstan are the lands of Russia. This greatly outraged A. Nurpeisov and he published an article in the same newspaper «Izvestia» entitled «Own and Other’s pain», where he cited statistics on the territory of Kazakhstan, and there it was indicated that in 1897 the number of Slavs was 17%. These data spread throughout the Union, thereby refuting many of Solzhenitsyn’s conjectures and claims. However, the topic did not end there. In May 1991, Abeke spoke from the tribune of the Abay Opera and Ballet Theater before the USSR Secretary General M. Gorbachev during his visit to Alma-Ata. Starting his speech with the words «Dear Mikhail Sergeyevich», he described all the hardships and persecutions of the Kazakh people over the seventy years of the rule of the Red imperial policy. Everyone saw and heard his speech, and Gorbachev tried to hide behind the «Pravda» newspaper, - Smagul Yelubay shared his thoughts during his speech about the life and work of the classic writer.

During the event, University teachers and students was able to ask their questions of interest and received answers from Abdijamil Nurpeisov himself.

In his speech, the writer Dulat Isabekov also spoke about the wisdom and childish pranks of the writer, who still appeals and calls him as a «child». Meanwhile, Dulat Isabekov is already 77 years old.

«Abike is a multifaceted personality. If writers usually start with a short story, in contrast he began with the novel «Courland». Then he wrote the trilogy novel «Blood and Sweat». He did not receive a single title from Kazakhstan, however he immediately received the State Prize of the Soviet Union. Abeke did not celebrate any of his anniversaries, and now he celebrates his 95th anniversary. This is also an indicator of his eccentricity. I would like to wish you a strong health and long life to celebrate your 100th anniversary», - said the writer Beksultan Nurzheke.

Priest of Kazakh literature, Abdyzhamil Nurpeisov, who is now 95 years old, in his youth went to study at Kazakh National University on the advice of Sabit Mukanov, and after one course of study transferred to the Literary Institute.

National writer Abdijamil Nurpeisov was awarded the golden medal «For Special Contribution to the Development of the University» at a literary evening by the order of Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Galym Mutanov.

In turn, the writer has expressed his gratitude to the University leadership for the support, blessed the students and wished them to achieve high goals and become worthy patriots of their country.
