KazNU-THE: Prospects for Cooperation

Al-Farabi KazNU has held a bilateral online meeting with the management of the world-renowned agency «Times Higher Education» (THE).

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation in the sphere of higher education, participation of Kazakhstani University in the global rating «Times Higher Education» and prospects of cooperation have been discussed.

Michael Caruana, Strategic Solutions Director at THE agency, highlighted the growing potential for promotion of KazNU in world ratings. He noted the activity of the University as the head of the Global Hub of the UN «Academic Impact» Program, emphasizing the need to participate in one of the important fields of the THE international ranking, which assesses the activities of the HEIs on sustainable development goals. He also introduced the methodology of ranking, gave practical recommendations and answered questions of interest to the participants of the online meeting.

At the end of the event, Rector Galym Mutanov thanked Michael Caruana for the detailed information on the work of the «Times Higher Education» agency and expressed readiness to develop further cooperation.
