Preparing for Admission

Topical issues of admissions of the students to the educational programs of Bachelor, Master and Doctoral studies, as well as the procedure for the competition for vacant positions of faculty have been discussed at a meeting of the Academic Council of Al-Farabi KazNU.

The meeting was held in online format, where the Vice-Rector for Education A.Khikmetov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Affairs H.Malayev, as well as the Head of Human Resources and Archives A.Madiyarova have made reports.

The Academic Council has decided to develop and approve the quota for admission to the Bachelor’s degree, by including it in the Rules for admission of KazNU and posting information on the website of the University for the information of applicants. It was also decided to send information letters to the responsible secretaries of Admissions Commissions of the HEIs of the RK concerning the admissions quota to the Bachelor’s degree and cut-off points. In addition, the issue of technical support of conducting entrance exams in online mode and online registration of applicants for admission to the Doctorate program has been also considered. The relevant divisions have been instructed.

A.Madiyarova has informed about the work on organization of the competition for the vacant positions of the faculty, Deans and Heads of Departments. In connection with the strengthening of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and the introduction of quarantine, the contest will be held online in two stages: first – from June 27 to July 4; and second – from August 3 to 8 this year. The Deans of the Faculties have been instructed to organize the selection of highly qualified staff for the competition.
