Competition for Postdoc positions 2020 in KazNU has been completed. 

This year, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a competition for postdocs positions for the third time. Al-Farabi KazNU is the first university in Kazakhstan to launch a post-doctoral program at its own expense.

The postdoctoral program allows young specialists who have received an a doctoral degree to improve their professional qualifications, conduct independent research, updating them in the form of publications in top-rated scientific journals.

The post-doctoral program of KazNU is an unprecedented state-level project to support young scientists. The need to provide a special state program for postdoctoral studies was stated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.J.Tokayev.

This year, over 40 young researchers from all over the world have applied for the competition. The selection criteria were scientometric indicators (h-index, publications in top journals) and the degree of independence in scientific research.

According to the results of the work of the expert commission, based on the Scientific Council’s decision, the winners of the Postdoc-2020 contest are as following: Faculty of information technology: Omirbekova Zhanar, Omarov Batyrkhan; Faculty of Medicine and Health Care: Biswas Animesh, Adambekov Shalkar; Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology: Tauanov Zhandos, Baimenov Alzhan; Faculty of Physics and Technology: Shinbayeva Ainura, Aymuratov Yerlan, Shalenov Erik, Khokhlov Serik; Faculty of Mechanical Mathematics:  Belyaev Yerzhan; Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology: Salmurzauly Ruslan; Faculty of Law: Ergali Adlet.
