Opening of the AVEVA engineering design Center in KazNU
11/19/2020At the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi KazNU at the Teaching Laboratory for Computational Methods in Chemistry the official opening ceremony of the AVEVA Center for Engineering Design of Chemical and Technological Processes, organized jointly with the British company "AVEVA Group plc" took place at 18 November 2020.
The opening ceremony was attended by the first vice-rector of al-Farabi KazNU Professor Burkitbayev Mukhambetkali Myrzabaevich, Vice-President for Strategic Development of AVEVA Products, Mr. Julien de Beer (Paris, France), Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies Tassibekov Khaidar Suleymanovich, as well as heads of departments, laboratories and doctoral students of the faculty. The project is being implemented with the support of AVEVA Group plc - the largest developer of integrated IT solutions for design, engineering and project management in the oil and gas, energy, chemical and shipbuilding industries. The main goal of the project is to improve the knowledge and skills of students and teachers through modern training programs based on AVEVA technologies.
In his speech, the representative of AVEVA company, Mr. Julien de Beer, spoke in detail about the company's activities, partners and the capabilities of the computational program for the design of chemical-technological processes AVEVA PRO / II Simulation in training future specialists. First Vice-Rector Burkitbayev M.M. on behalf of the university, expressed gratitude to AVEVA for providing a license to use the PRO / II Simulation program and noted that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University became the first university in the Central Asian region, where “AVEVA Group plc” opens its representative office and spoke about the possibilities our university for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
The ongoing project of facilitate collaboration with international leaders in scientific and technological development and the introduction of new technologies in the educational process in order to train highly qualified personnel with professional competencies sufficient to effectively solve research and applied problems in the field of modern theoretical chemistry and chemical industry at the international level.
